Motion 1.4.0 update


Lots of new changes to thrown in here, some noticeable, some unnoticeable, the big ones being the new timer and the new attack.

Changes include:

  • Round timer
    • Rounds now have a timer, at the end of the round, the one with more health wins
    • When it's a tie you both just lose
    • The timer can be altered in the settings but it's off by default
  • Attack updates
    • New attack added, crouch uppercut has an extension
    • Various attacks had their stun shortened, turns out I was looking at the stun wrong and basing it off of the entire length of the attack, rather than the recovery time, so attacks were stunning way longer than they should have
    • To add to that, sprint kick had its recovery time increased, it was recovering almost like it was a light attack
    • Crash landing now uses an alternate slide kick with different frames, it recovers much slower now
  • UI updates
    • Round timer added to the settings
    • Command list now separated by movement type so I could fit the new crouch attack in
  • Animator fixes
    • Some animation transitions were a little weird, I think I managed to smooth them out a little
    • I also think I got rid of a small problem where attacks would come out without the animation, not sure though
  • Bug fixes
    • The AI doesn't fire into you at extreme speeds when you whiff at medium range
    • At round end if you were sprinting you would hold that sprint until something interrupted, (This might be the same bug that happens when you die in the air while sprinting)
